Channel Blocker did one thing well: a block button right on YouTube, for videos, channels and people in the comments. Its last update in the Chrome Web Store is from August 2024, and it’s rated 2.7 stars. FeedCut keeps the one-click idea, adds keyword blocking without regex, and covers the Home feed, search and Up next.
Coming soon to Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera · Free · No account
Press Block channel on a comment or on a video in Up next. Both disappear, along with that channel everywhere else.

If Channel Blocker still hides everything on your list, there’s no rush. If blocked channels have started creeping back, or you want Shorts and the Home feed handled too, FeedCut does the same one-click job and more.
According to its Chrome Web Store listing, Channel Blocker has more than 100,000 users and a 2.7-star rating. The current version, 3.0.5, was released in August 2024 after a rewrite as an open-source Manifest V3 extension.
More than two years is a long time for a YouTube tool. YouTube reworks its pages regularly, and each change can stop an extension from finding the videos it’s meant to hide. A review on the listing describes exactly that: channels on the block list showing up again.
| Feature | Channel Blocker | FeedCut |
|---|---|---|
| Block from YouTube in one click | Yes | YesCards, channel pages, comments, ⋮ menu |
| Block people in the comments | Yes | Yes |
| Block a single video | Yes | Yes |
| Block by word | Regex only | YesPlain words, whole-word option |
| Hide Shorts, Home feed, Up next | No | One switch each |
| PIN lock | No | Yes |
| Browsers | Chrome | Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera |
| Last store update | August 2024 | Coming soon |
If your version of Channel Blocker can export its list, save the file, then open FeedCut’s settings, choose Import and pick it. Channels and users come across; FeedCut tells you about any regex rules it skipped.
If there’s no export, it’s a good moment for a cleanup. Open the old list, and add the channels you still care about in FeedCut’s settings by link, @handle or name. An old list is often full of channels you no longer run into.
FeedCut isn’t the only way forward, and the right pick depends on what you used Channel Blocker for:
Our comparison of seven YouTube blockers lays out what each one does and doesn’t do.
Its developers haven’t said so. The Chrome Web Store listing shows no update since August 2024. Whether that affects you depends on whether your blocked channels still stay hidden.
YouTube changes its pages several times a year. An extension that finds videos by the page layout has to follow each change, or blocked videos start slipping through.
No. It uses plain words with an optional whole-word setting. That covers most real lists; patterns you rely on can usually become two or three words.
Yes. Every comment gets a Block button. The person’s comments disappear under every video, and so does their channel.
Block channels, words and Shorts everywhere on YouTube. Free, no account, nothing leaves your browser.
