Neither Chrome nor YouTube has a block button for channels. In Chrome the fix is an extension: install FeedCut from the Chrome Web Store, press Block channel on any video, and that channel disappears from Home, search, Up next and the comments. The whole setup takes about a minute.

This is what it looks like in Chrome: press Block channel on a video, then switch tabs.

Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension in the box Chrome shows. It asks for two permissions: storage for your lists, and access to youtube.com.
Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar and press the pin next to FeedCut. The panel is now one click away.
Shorts are already hidden. Everything else is up to you.
Hover any video on Home, in search or in Up next, and press Block channel in the corner of the thumbnail. On a channel page the button sits next to the channel name, and every comment has one too. If you prefer menus, the ⋮ menu on a video has the same option.
The channel leaves every page at once. An Undo message gives you a few seconds to change your mind, and the full list lives in the panel, with an Unblock button next to each name.
chrome://extensions, click Details under FeedCut and switch on Allow in Incognito.Brave, Vivaldi and Opera are built on the same engine as Chrome and accept Chrome Web Store extensions, so the steps above work in them almost word for word. Microsoft Edge has its own store, Edge Add-ons, and FeedCut is there as well; see blocking channels on Edge.
Chrome can block whole sites, for a supervised child through Family Link or on a work computer through company policy, but that takes all of youtube.com with it. YouTube’s own “Don’t recommend channel” only tunes recommendations and leaves the channel in search. For one channel, an extension is the only precise option on a computer.
Yes. A Chromebook runs the same Chrome, so FeedCut installs from the Chrome Web Store and works on youtube.com the same way.
If Chrome sync is on, Chrome installs FeedCut on your other computers and carries your lists along. That sync is run by Google; FeedCut has no server of its own.
They’re built on Chromium and install extensions from the Chrome Web Store, so FeedCut works there too.
It runs only on youtube.com, and only to filter what YouTube already sends. Other sites never load it.
Block channels, words and Shorts everywhere on YouTube. Free, no account, nothing leaves your browser.
