How to block Roblox videos on YouTube
YouTube has no way to block a game. It can block channels, and only for a supervised child, while Roblox videos come from thousands of channels. On a computer, a word filter does the job: add “Roblox” and the names of the games your kid watches, and every video with those words in its title or channel name leaves Home, search and Up next. On tablets and TVs, the closest you can get is YouTube Kids with content you approve yourself.

The demo has no Roblox videos, but the filter works the same way: type challenge into the word box and press Add.

Computer: block the word “Roblox” and a few game names with FeedCut, then set a PIN. Tablet or TV: block the biggest channels from your parent account, or switch YouTube Kids to Approve content yourself. Everywhere: blocking channels alone won’t keep up.
Why blocking channels isn’t enough
Roblox is a platform of millions of user-made games, and the videos about it come from an enormous number of channels, big and small, with new ones every week. You could block the five your kid watches today, and the recommendations would serve up five more tomorrow. YouTube’s own block also “only blocks content uploaded to that specific channel,” so re-uploads and look-alike channels get through.
A topic needs a filter that looks at the video itself, not at who posted it. That’s a word filter.
Block Roblox videos by word
Install FeedCut in the browser your kid uses
Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera. Free, no account.
Add the word Roblox
In the panel, under Hide videos with a word. Every video with it in the title or channel name disappears from Home, search and Up next.
Add the games they actually watch
Titles don’t always say “Roblox.” A video called “I survived 100 days in Grow a Garden” only matches if you add the game’s name.
Set a PIN
So the list stays as you left it.
A starter word list
These are names that show up often in Roblox video titles. Popular games change every few months, so treat it as a start and add what you see in your kid’s history.
| Word | Why |
|---|---|
| Roblox | Catches most titles and channel names |
| Robux | The in-game currency, common in “free Robux” clickbait |
| Brookhaven | A long-running role-play game |
| Adopt Me | A pet-raising game with a huge video following |
| Blox Fruits | An anime-style fighting game |
| Grow a Garden | A farming game that took over in 2025 |
| Dress to Impress | A fashion game, popular with younger kids |
| obby | Short for obstacle course, a whole genre of Roblox games |
Check for false matches after a day. “Obby” is safe; a short, common word you add later might not be. If something you wanted disappears, remove the word or make it more specific.
If the real worry is “free Robux”
Some parents don’t mind Roblox videos at all; it’s the scams that bother them. Offers of free Robux, in videos and in comments with links, are a classic scam aimed at kids. In that case, block only free robux, robux generator and robux giveaway, and keep the rest. FeedCut checks comments against your words too, so the spam under other videos disappears along with them.
On tablets, phones and TVs
FeedCut doesn’t run inside the YouTube apps, and YouTube’s apps have no word filter. What’s left:
- YouTube Kids with Approve content yourself: your child sees only the channels and videos you pick, and search is off. Strict, and the only way to rule a topic out completely in an app. How to set it up.
- A supervised account: block the handful of Roblox channels your kid watches most from your parent account. It won’t catch new ones, but it removes the favorites.
- Watch history: on a supervised account, check what they’re watching now and then, and block new channels as they show up.
Block it all, or only the worst?
Plenty of Roblox videos are harmless: building tutorials, kids learning to make their own games in Roblox Studio. If what you object to is the volume, or the scary horror games, or the shouting, you can be selective: block the specific games or channels and leave the rest. If you want a clean break, block “Roblox” and the filter does the work.
Questions
Does this block Roblox itself?
No. It hides Roblox videos on YouTube in the browser where FeedCut is installed. The game is a separate app; Roblox has its own parental controls for that.
Will it hide videos that only mention Roblox once?
Only if the word is in the title or the channel name, which is where it matters. A cooking video that mentions Roblox halfway through stays.
My kid watches Roblox videos in another language.
Game names are often left in English, so “Roblox” and the game names still match. Add local words too if you see them in titles.
Can my kid turn the filter off?
Not with a PIN set. Without the PIN, FeedCut’s settings, word list and on-off switch stay locked.
